I ordered an oil top up from my normal supplier two weeks ago. Normally I expect delivery in 3 or 4 days but this time…..nothing, no feed-back, no idea when my order would turn up. I checked my oil level yesterday lunchtime and was horrified to see it had dropped almost to nothing, I did not think it would last the day. I phoned Quick Fuels at approx. 2.00 pm and they promised to have an emergency delivery of 500 litres to me by 5.00 pm. I was sceptical because we were in the middle of the Beast from The East/Storm Emma snowstorms and seriously cold weather. The Quick Fuels delivery chap turned only a few minutes after 5.00 pm, I was amazed given the UK wide road problems caused by the snow. The delivery chap struggled with the ice on my sloping drive but he persevered. It is hard to describe the feeling of relief having an oil refill just in time when desperately needed…especially in the weather experienced this week. A bad time to run out of heating oil. Called my usual local suppliers and they were unable to deliver. One call to Quick Fuel and my woes were over. They delivered within 2 hours and at a great price considering it was an emergency. I was kept updated by Steve throughout, I got a message at loading and a call upon arrival.
